  • When it says on the Sunday of the 2nd week run/walk 1 mile what does it mea? : /

  • I tried to run/jog as much of the mile as I could but used walking intervals when I needed it.

  • thank you running bug you keep me fit

  • i think it means do the mile running but walk if you need to and go for your best time

  • i run 3/4 of the way and i spend the rest walking (1/4) and I try to push my body to it's best also breathing can be a problem for most people so my advice is to try breathe through the nose and out the mouth.

  • I tried to breath through my nose and out my mouth but i find this difficult

  • I've just started running, so this training plan is great advice for me.

  • I'm just starting out but used to run as a kid (15) years ago and have been going to the gym for the last few months (2-3 times a week on average) doing mostly weights and a little cardio.... Basically I'm not a complete beginner or very unfit. I'm starting from week 1 on this programme but don't know for the minutes when you run if you should run as fast as you can for that time or just a steady pace, does anyone know? MA..

  • I would imagine it means run at a comfortable pace. The build up helps to condition your legs and other bits not used to running so that you don't end up injuring yourself.

  • Well that's me started the 5k plan, let the fun begin

  • I have just started out running and the ipod with your favorite tunes is fantasic to help you focus with pace and breathing.

  • I am just starting running I have registered to do a 5k race in march. I go to the gym 5 times a week is running on the treadmill ok for training

  • Oh wow just getting started and will defo give this a go.

  • Never could, never able to but always wanted to run, here goes, will give it a go, thanks.

  • Changing the subject slightly from running to diet. on the seven day diet plan it suggest peanut butter.   What could I substitute peanut butter for? My boyfriend can not eat nuts...

Any help would be most appreciated ....  We are both new to dieting and running.  We are both trying to get prepared first.
