But at this show 95% was dedicated to nutrition and 5% kit and it just made me think on how much we rate what we put into our bodies and what we value on our feet...both being important of course. But there again, how much emphasis is put onto marketing...footwear to runners and supliments to gym bunnies. The reassuring fact from your comments is that we are all aware of what we put in to our bodies but maybe there is room for improvement when it comes to core stability.

I do like the comment "if we put rubbish in, we should expect rubbish coming out".

Forum Post: RE: Buying online?- fantastic £ & service @ runonline.co.uk

I use start fitness a lot and never had a problem, there is a discount code for bugs too !

Forum Post: RE: Body temp

I have the same issue I am always frozen!! Both were great with Chester being smaller with a more low-key feeling, it felt a bit like events held by local running clubs, really friendly. Manchester felt huge although in comparison to something like London it is still tiny. I preferred Chester just, both were really well organised and in every other respect compared favourably with each other but the chilled out vibe that came with Chester made for a more relaxing day for me although in fairness I was time chasing in Manchester but Chester did win Marathon of the Year last year. Chester is also out in the country for much of it with fewer crowds and not the same level of noise in terms of bands/choirs etc although still a good turnout all along just more sedate. This felt more like my training so I liked it whereas other people don't as they find it more of a struggle without the big crowds. Manchester had alot of out and back sections so you had huge crowds as a result which I'm personally a little unsettled by but you got to see the front runners go past which was amazing and I found inspirational and motivational, others might find it demotivating. I'm actually breaking with the theme next year and doing Brighton because there is a big Bug meet happening and I've heard great reviews but if you do consider it you will have to book it soon as I think the deadline for entry is mid June. Good luck with whichever you pick x

Forum Post: RE: Best way to start?

Nicola, we virtually all start this way. it is a learning process and you will see and feel progress each time you get out there.

Sounds to me like you are making a good start - I really hope it goes well for you.

Forum Post: RE: New Bug Signing In

My goodness, is your life just one marathon after another!? Say hello to Nessie for me! :-)

Forum Post: RE: Improving time and distance

Great to hear that!
