I'm running in a pair of Asics trail shoes at the moment and, although very comfortable, the build quality is rubbish and they're already starting to break-up after way less than 50 miles!
I'm after a pair of Inov8 trail shoes, but don't want a big stacked heel as I'm going to start to make a transition to shoes with a lower heel to toe differential.
I was just wondering if anyone could recommend an Inov8 shoe?
Thanks all.
Hi Westie, I'm running in a pair of Roclite 315s after a fair few people recommended them & reading the general reviews. I absolutely love them, have run a good number of miles in them & they're still in great shape. I also spent a fair bit browsing for a good price and going for the less popular colour I managed to get a really good deal (think I paid around £65 for them in the end). Not sure whether they're what you're after but can certainly recommend x
Great stuff, thanks Liewal, will trot off and have a look at those....trot...trot....trot.....
I love my Roclite 295's.
Brilliant.
What sort of heel to toe differential are on the Roclite 295s, RTS? Love the way that sentence makes it sound like I know what I'm talking about!
On the whole, I think there's generally less padding in trail shoes so presumably they're all a little "flatter"? I've never made any measurements so I may be mistaken.
Roclite 315s for me, I was swayed by the orange styling.
Adam Roclite 315s for me, I was swayed by the orange styling.
You fashion head, you!
Use X-Talon 212`s when the goings soft, there light - flexible and give stunning grip.... good tight fit around the upper so feet don`t twist inside the shoe when running at speed along off-camber terrain...
Hi Roland, I tried the Inov8 315s and just didn't get on with the fit. In the end I bought the 295s and will have my first run out in them when my muscle strain heals. The Talon's sound pretty fine too!
The Talons are the best pair of trainers I have ever owned, they are fabulous I feel like a rock star everytime I put them on. I have raced up to 16.2miles in them with no issue, they are awesome. Also out of 5 races I have worn them in I have won 4 and come 2nd in the other...I just need something like that for the road!
Any views out there on the Inov8 285s, they seem pretty impressive to me.
Note to self: must buy a pair of Talons before Sherwood Pines 10k to ensure fininshing in top 2! Actually Choisty, think you might have a bit of ability too!!
I still think Talons give you wings
I'm not even going to say something like: "so do sanitary towels", I will not say it....!
I use both flyroc's and mudroc's depending on the terrain. worth having a look at the entire range to see what suits you best and see what is on offer for the terrain you are going to be running on.
Now this has started up again, try the bare amazing grip, barefoot. I think Inov8 may have cracked the barefoot market
