Can someone help me please. I am having a vasectomy shortly (that is enough laughing) and have been told I may not be able to run for 5 to 7 days. My training is important to me and I am worried about losing fitness. At what point does the body start to de-train? I think, I remember once being told it is about 2 weeks before you start losing any fitness. Can someone shed some light on this for me please!
Simple dont worry as it will make no difference anyway.
The triathletes I know say 10-14 days depending on the individual

Good luck with the procedure Martin. I'm no expert, but from what I've heard, and from accounts on the bugmiles, people tend to find that they're fine after a couple of weeks even. More important to heed the advice from your surgeon to make sure you don't do yourself a mischief!!!!
You'll be fine Martin, recovery is real quick and you'll be back up and running before you're ready for horizontal jogging. Just remember to pinch your nose when they seal your pipes. The smell of your own flesh burning is enough to put you off BBQs for a week or two!
Have fun!!
My eyes are watering and I dont have any pipe !! Good luck Martin I bet you will be up and running in no time
