Natalie Pinkham Runs Blind for Charity
"We often take our sight for granted, so I am honoured to be able to support such an incredible initiative as Seeing is Believing, which saves the sights of thousands the world over”
Bio:
Natalie Pinkham is well known in the sporting world for her presenting and reporting. In the last couple of years she has hosted NFL UK for Five and filmed The Great Swim Series for Channel 4 with Olympic swimmer Steve Parry. In the summer of 2007, Natalie lived out in the States hosting David Beckham's Soccer USA. Currently, she is working as a Formula 1 pit-lane reporter for Sky Sports F1, having held the same post for BBC Radio 5 Live in 2011.
Running:
Natalie loves all sports, but in particular football, tennis, rugby and athletics. In 2008, Natalie took part in ITV's Dancing On Ice. Three months of training before the show went live helped Natalie build up strength, stamina and increased her desire to keep fit.
Natalie recently took part in The Great City Race for charity Seeing Is Believing. Blindfolded during the event, her fiance, Owain Walbyoff acted as her guide for the race. Natalie admits to being extremely competitive and jokingly warned Owain before the race, "It's a good test of trust - if he fails I can always call the wedding off,"
There was no need to worry, Natalie completed the race in 32:57.
