Career Highlights:

The 2009 IAAF World Youth Championships Gold medalist (100m and 200m), Jodie Williams is another protégé of Barrie Wells, the millionaire athletics fan, who invests his money into up and coming runners. The junior athlete had a run of 151 wins until 2010, when she was beaten at the 200m final of the World Junior Championships. But one defeat didn't hold her back. In 2011 she became the youngest winner of the UK Indoor Championships over the 60m, running a PB of 7.24s. This meant she qualified for her senior international debut at the Indoor Championships in Paris, after which, this young athlete was described by the UKA head coach, Charles van Commenee as "the sort of athlete every country is waiting for".

Quirky facts:

Both Jodie's parents were county sprinters, her dad, Richard Williams ran for Hertfordshire, while mum Christine ran for Sussex.
