Bugathon Competition

Overview

All information detailing how to enter this prize giveaway forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the entrant agrees to abide by these rules. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.

The information given in these Terms and Conditions is correct, but The Running Bug reserve the right to change any of the below without prior notice.

This prize giveaway is open to all Running Bug users who are residents of the UK. All entrants must be over the age of 16.

General

Members must opt into the prize giveaway by entering the number of miles they have travelled on a single run into the bugmiles section of the website.

They will not be eligible to win a prize unless they have completed their user profile.

Members must log a run which they have completed between Monday and Sunday of any week while the competition is ongoing.

The prize winners will be chosen at random from all of the users who logged miles over that time period, and announced the following week.

Only one giveaway entry will be allocated per user per week.

To qualify for the star prize giveaway of a running holiday in the Algarve, users must log 15 runs, or more, over the course of the competition.

Users must not flood the site by uploading too many runs into bugmiles at one time. Anyone deemed to be acting outside the spirit of the competition will have their entries voided.

Entries into the draw for the prize giveaway are gained automatically by doing the above.

The Running Bug shall not be responsible for lost connections, miscommunications, failed computer transmissions or technical failures. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt.

The winners may be required to take part in publicity.

Users of personal data received by The Running Bug in the course of the promotion are subject to The Running Bug's data protection policy. Winners' names may be published on the website.

The competition is not open to The Running Bug employees or their immediate families.

Competition closes when 300,000 miles are reached.

Judging and Prizes

The weekly winners will be chosen at random, and announced in a weekly newsletter.

The winners will also be notified by email within one week of being announced.

The winner of the prize should confirm that they have received the notification from The Running Bug within 72 hours. Failure to respond within this time will lead to The Running Bug re-drawing another winner.

Prizes will be distributed to the winners upon completion of the competition.

There are no alternatives to the prizes stated and the prizes are not transferable. No part or parts of the prizes may be substituted for other benefits, items, or additions. The Running Bug reserves the right to change the prizes at any time.

The winner of the prize should provide their postal address for prize delivery. The prize supplier will deliver the prize to the winner once The Running Bug has notified the prize supplier with the winner’s information. No compensation will be given in instances where there is a delay in receiving prizes.

The organizers and judges reserve the right to remove any entries from the competition that they feel may breach any of these terms and conditions or may bring the entrant or the competition into disrepute. Such entries will be deemed as void.

This includes entries that may be fraudulent or otherwise contrary to the spirit of the competition.

Any decision made by the judges or The Running Bug is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
