At the Running Bug your privacy is of the up most importance to us. This statement explains the measures we take to protect your privacy. 

Protecting your information

Firstly, it’s important to understand that you don’t have to share any of your personal information with us in order to use the Running Bug. Secondly, we will not collect any of your personal information without your permission to do so. 

We collect information when you sign up to the website or when you join the Running Bug club.

If you do choose to share your personal information with us then we take various measures to make sure it’s safe and protected. These security measures include:

  • Using a secure server and encryption when transmitting the information you have shared with us.
  • The web server itself is kept in a completely secure and managed environment.
  • We keep the personal detail you share with us in a separate database which is not linked to the web.

Using your information

We use the data that you provide us in two ways. 

  • So we can send you information by email such as the Running Bug newsletter.
  • So we can get a better understanding of the kind of articles, advice and information that you want to hear about.

The information that you provide us is not shared with any other third parties unless you have given us permission to do so.

What we send you

We use the information you have shared with us to communicate with you and send you things in the following ways:

  • Email – we send you emails only if you have given us permission to do. If you no longer want to receive emails from us then you can either unsubscribe using the unsubscribe link on the email, or by emailing us at inquiries@therunningbug.co.uk.
  • Post – now and again we may run promotions or competitions. If you’re one of our lucky winners then we’ll send you your prize by post. Similarly when you sign up to the Running Bug club you’ll receive your membership card and any merchandise in the post.

Cookies are small text files that we place in your web browser when you visit the Running Bug. These cookies contain records or information so that we can recognise you when you visit us. This means we can provide you with personalised information such as your favourites.
