1. Colour!2. Light and minimalist style.3. Nice support under forefoot.
CONS
1. No heel.2. No arch support (I know they are barefoot shoes!).3. Felt a little bit restricted in places (but may need wearing in).
DETAILS & FEATURES
I found this to be a very comfortable shoe but would need to work to slowly to adjust to the minimalist feel by doing some exercises to strengthen the calf muscles. I’m a lightweight, experienced runner and used to pared-down shoes, but not quite as ‘barefoot’ as this. I wear Nike 3.0s for most of my road (and off road) running and am used to a little more heel support. I adapted these shoes by adding in arch support insoles.
The Lithe gloves do fit like a glove! And because of this they allow for smooth, natural running. The sole is also strong and durable looking, with a nice tread and good off-road grip.
There was extra support from the lacing system that held the foot well and supported it under the forefoot.
The upper felt a little bit stiff at first – but I haven’t run enough to wear them in, so this may change.
I wouln't see no heel and no arch support as a con. This is a minimalist trail shoe and by definition it won't have these things!
Yes! These are the shoes I bought recently - and I love them (once I got the right size: see my travails here therunningbug.co.uk/.../ouch-too-much-too-soon.aspx)
