User Review by Steve Wallis

The first thing to say about these is that they look great … on other people. They’re very tight-fitting which means they flatter most slim people but can have a sausage-skin effect on bigger people!

They’re said to improve circulation, reduce fatigue and muscle damage and improve recovery. These claims are hard to quantify.

But whether it’s psychological or not, I do like the feeling of compression clothing. I’ve had a pair of 2XU before and was delighted to find that these are still offering that same level of recovery after a long run. I also wear them for running but always put shorts over them for vanity. I’ve heard some runners say you should sleep in your compression gear – but I think that’s taking it too far!

Washing these is a bit of a problem and after a period of time the silver detail does come off. They can also be a bit of a pain to get on and off and the lack of pockets is frustrating. But overall I’m a big fan of compression clothing and particularly 2XU.
