I loved this hydration system. I used it all through the summer months and found that it was an ideal fit for me and better than unisex versions as the shoulder straps sit a little higher and the vest is the right length.

Nathan specialize in hydration products for both men and women and many of the features on this apply to all their products (check out the Endurance, £74.99). Nathan are the Ferrari of belts and bags. The bladder has a handy measure so you can add the exact amount of fuel you need up to 2 litres and it’s easy to remove leaving lots of extra room in the bag (including jacket hat and gloves put on by mistake on a mild winter day).

The feed tube is easy to use and could be held in place on the shoulder strap however it did pop out a couple of times which was a little bit annoying! The harness system, common to all Nathan backpacks, really does secure the backpack to you as you run and there was no movement or chaffing at all.

It’s incredibly lightweight and the handy pockets on the side of the straps were great for gels and other bits and could be used for a water bottle if you need extra hydration in the summer. The front zipped pocket means you can also store keys, small maps, and other little extras.

Finally as a backpack this was also brilliant for carrying tickets, wallet and other essentials as I travelled on holiday and would be a great way of saving packing for a big city marathon, serving the purpose of airport bag and hydration system.
