A Tough 3 Stage Ultra in the heart of Europe
Welcome to The European Ultra, 3 stages of exhilarating ultra running over volcanic terrain in the Algarve. A shorter multi-stage ultra marathon for those on a tight time schedule or wishing to move up from the conventional marathon distance, this ultra has it all. Each year the event will fall on a Friday allowing runners to compete with the minimum of disruption to their working life.
As a true multi-stage event you will be self-sufficient carrying your own sleeping arrangements, food, and supplies for the entire race, replenishing your (minimum) 2.5 litres of water along the way at check points and base camps.
Being in the Algarve you can expect to be running in temperatures above 30°C during the day with temperatures dipping in the evening, your kit selection is going to be key to your success.

September 20th - Day 1 Arrival and transfer to Silves Base Camp
September 21st – Day 2 Race Stage 1 – Start 7.00am - 41km - Stage Name: Volcanic
September 22nd – Day 3 Race Stage 2 – Start 6.30am - 66km - Stage Name: Hills
September 23rd – Day 4 Race Stage 3 – Start 6.00am - 20km - Stage Name: Atlantic
September 24th – Day 5 Leave for onward travel or transfer to Faro Airport
