Escape the chill and take in 26.2 miles in the Cyprus sun. The 2011 Limassol Marathon will take place on 20th February and ideal conditions for running are expected with temperatures around 15-15 degrees Celcius. The race starts from Molos on the promenade and follows a flat, traffic-free route mainly along the coast. Take family or friends along for a fantastic winter holiday, with several other events on the day from a kids 2k to a half marathon you might even be able to get them running too.

What? The Limassol Marathon GSO, the official Marathon of Cyprus, accredited by AIMS and IAAF, is the biggest athletic event of the island.
Where? Limassol is the second largest city in Cyprus. The start and finish point of the race are on the Molos (promenade) pedestrian area at the seafront of Limassol and the race follows the coastal route. You will never be far away from the sea, hence the race slogan, "Run Along the Waves!"
Why? The easy, flat, fast, straight, and traffic free route of the coastal road is ideal for runners of all abilities to achieve Personal Best Times.
